AEUA Structure

AEUA has a straightforward structure. At the centre of this organisation are its members: universities in Arab and European countries. A Board of seven members is elected by the membership and meets regularly. Under and independent Chairperson, three Arab and three European members form the Board. The Lutfia Rabbani Foundation and both the European University Association (EUA) and the Association of Arab Universities (AARU) are represented on the Board.

The AEUA Board is composed of:

• Dr. Marwan, President, Philadelphia University;
• Ms. Lesley Wilson, Secretary General, European University Association (EUA);
• Dr. Saleh Hashem, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities (AARU);;
• Dr. Jan Donner, Board Member, Lutfia Rabbani Foundation and President, Royal Tropical Institute;
• Dr. Adnan Badran, former Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan;
• Prof. Dr. Pierre de Maret, Rector, Universite Libre in Brussels;
• Prof. Najeeb Al Hilali Jawhar, President, University of Cairo;
• Prof. Dr. Francisco Mora Mas, Vice-Rector, Universidad Politecnica de Valencia.

The board of AEUA is formed by the Lutfia Rabbani Foundation.
